Lisbon 2018: 6th International Multidisciplinary Congress On Iron Deficiency (IMCID)

 

PharmaNutra in the forefront to present new studies on iron deficiency

 

This week PharmaNutra SPA will be involved in two major international events, both scheduled in Lisbon, Portugal, between 12th and 14th April.

 

On April 13th and 14th, the Portuguese capital will host the sixth edition of the International Multidisciplinary Congress on Iron Deficiency (IMCID), organized as every year by PharmaNutra in collaboration with Zambon, our commercial partner for Spain and Portugal. The international congress will present to sector’s specialists from all over the world, focuses and insights about iron deficiency anemia. In fact, during the two days of the event, doctors and researchers will present the data obtained from the clinical studies developed with the Sucrosomial® technology, as well as presenting a series of posters highlighting the scientific results achieved by the SiderAL® line products.

 

In fact, it is now internationally proven that the effectiveness of Sucrosomial® technology represents a real revolution in the treatment of iron deficiency. The patent developed by Alesco, a company of the PharmaNutra SPA group, is the result of a technology which is unique in the world and can significantly contribute to improve the quality of life of the people suffering iron deficiency. This is also confirmed by the recent scientific study entitled «Sucrosomial Iron Supplementation in Anemic Patients with Celiac Disease Not Tolerating Oral Ferrous Sulfate», promoted by the center for the prevention and diagnosis of celiac disease at the IRCCS Ca’ Granda foundation from Milan and published on Nutrients, which clearly shows how the intake of Sucrosomal® Iron by celiac patients who frequently present anemia resulting from a gluten-free diet and a damaged intestinal mucosa is more effective and well tolerated than traditional iron.

During the two days preceding the congress, the 19th edition of the “NATA Symposium“, the European event dedicated to transfusion medicine, will take place at the University of Lisbon. The NATA’s scientific program is focused on the development of scientific research on topics such as anemia, blood resource management optimization (Patient Blood Management) and thrombosis. Pharmanutra will be present at the NATA with a space coordinated by the Scientific Department for the presentation of scientific studies conducted on Sucrosomial® technology and the SiderAL® line products.
